Emiliana Abril is Kinética and her approach to music is multi-faceted – a beatmaker, producer, composer and singer. All these areas converge in her musical work, translating into fractured rhythms and lyrics with poetic energy which is at times brittle, overwhelming and ethereal.

Breakbeat, soul, pop, drum n bass, and hip hop combine with an instinct for experimentation and risk. Kinética debuted with an acclaimed self-titled album, followed by its sequel “II” (2013), an elaborate work that explores different areas of pop and electronica. In 2017, she published the next chapter, “III”, a winner in the category of Best Electronic Music Artist at the Pulsar 2018 Awards. In addition to adding concerts in various local venues, collaborating with musicians from the Chilean scene and being part of contemporary dance and sound design projects , Kinética has performed in Mexico and Europe, offering both live and DJ sets. When pressed to define herself artistically, Kinetica emphasizes, “I am still on a constant search to find my own sound, regardless of genre.”
